This year I read the Millennium Trilogy written by the late Stieg Larsson. The titles of the Books and Films with the same name are:
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo;
- The Girl Who Played with Fire;
- The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest;
All three books are easy to read and very good at getting you to start liking Lisbeth Salander, the main character. Why she is so likeable is hard to say but you might gain an understanding into the reason by reading some recent posts on Psychology Today where she has made a killing. Here is a selection of what you can find:
- Salander as Superhero
- The Cost of Justice: The Psychology of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Part 1
- The Cost of Vengeance: The Psychology of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Part 2
- The World’s — and My — Love Affair with Lisbeth Salander
This year an American adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will be released. The music for the film was written by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. A preview can be downloaded from here. A link I found while reading Side-Line music magazine.
